The Sherpa Van Lads Dinner

25 September 2008
7:00 pm

On the last Sunday of May ’88 more than 45,000 Wolves fans travelled south to enjoy the Sherpa Van Trophy Final at Wembley. Bellamy clipped the bar early on and then in the 23rd minute Bull clipped the ball on for Mutch to head Wolves in front. Robbie Dennison then curled a free-kick into the top corner of the net to make it 2-0 after 51 minutes. 20 Years on from the much celebrated Sherpa Van win, the Wolves players who helped to change the fortunes of the club are hosting a unique reunion dinner, players already confirmed include Robbie Dennison, Andy Mutch, Steve Bull MBE, Keith Downing, Andy Thompson & Jon Purdie.

  • We have also chosen the event to host a tribute to the Wolves keeper from the final Mark Kendall who sadly passed away earlier this year, we will be remembering Mark during the course of the evening with fitting memories from fans and colleagues which will be fronted by Bill Hatton.
  • Included is a 3 Course Dinner followed by Coffee, after dinner Interviews with the players, charity raffle fundraising & auction supporting Compton Hospice and Music & Sports Projects at High Arcal School and to round the night off comedy from Wolves’ own Ian Sludge Lees.
  • A special opportunity to have one of the Wolves legends as a table host is available for the first few corporate VIP bookings which are available at £550 plus VAT for a table of 10.
  • Standard Corporate Tables for 10 are £450 + VAT, a limited number of Individual Places are available for 2-4 people at £45 each.
